And finds only reflection
I rather like this reflection and thinking through the ideas that underpin it. S.O.
It's so encouraging to hear from someone who understands my poetry... most people find it to be much too oblique. I very much like 'Briseis', by the way; I shall be leaving a comment =)
The first time I read this I got nothing out of it and passed right over it. But sometimes I go back and give poems another shot as it can be my inability to see that prevents me from getting them. I am glad I reread this one! I have now read it many times and I think it is brilliant! The rhymes, the flow, the alliteration, the compactness, and the subtleties of meaning add up to a great poem! Post more! A 5!
