from dusk to dawn and back again
I weary weathered watch the skies
await aware where arise her eyes
wishing a star wherever venus lies
so so too I see as stars to sea
netborne navigators look for signs
falling skyward dive skyclad a light
tricky fingers of illuminated text
run inky colors to alight the night
lightly venus cries in flight she flies
impossible almosts we reach to catch
like unlikely fire flies a hand held miracle
wonder of a beauty we have no right to hold
learn to let go going to hold it again
as captive eyes hold a fire that dies

so as to retrograde dance again
she leads with leads or little looks
furtive flirty over shoulder falls
I only dream of tastes to follow
all this this rhythm and motion
music for chameleons and ceolocanths
deep night hunters of hidden passion
we know of the moments that lay buried
in under sheets and in our dreams
a breathe choke away from truth
her careful finger circles the skin
makes signal signs so to take me in
runed and spent a coin am I to pass
after I give mine, she takes hers
I am left wondering at the wonder of it all
