In the morning
gazing upward
to the bright
blue sky
over her city
as the bomb
sirens sounded
the little girl
saw a bright
white
parachute open up
and the plane
turn away,
fleeing.

She went
inside then,
and working,
inside the
little factory
moments
later
all of the
glass in
her building
shat-

-tered, blowing
in and cutting her
and
a hot wind
burned
her
and blew her
against
the floor.

Colonel
Paul
Tibbets
has died, but
do you
not think
he knew about
her?

A nine-
thousand
pound
bomb
is one thing
to carry around
but imagine
carrying around
100,000
human lives
until you
are 92 years
old.

Oh yes,
he did.
He just
flew
the fucking
plane.
