Visonary Gift
I've stayed surrounded
secluded in solitude
Still you were able to find me
Hiding out while about
I'm naturally unseen
Yet you spotted me easily.
What do I have
that catches your eye?
What brought you to look
When others pass by?
I wish I could see
what you see in me
that life would somehow deny.
I can't begin
to wander within
myself to possibly try.
In the raindrops that fall
I'm just one, rather small
compared to the deluge
that's pending
Let the sky open soon
tears of joy from the moon
Renewing my life
that's ascending
What do I have
that catches your eye?
What brought you to look
When others pass by?
I wish I could see
what you see in me
that love would never deny
I can't begin
to wander within
long enough
to possibly try.
I'll splatter and spread
a passion's raindance
To cover you
wet and complete
You catch me instead
and give me a chance
We taste together
our raindrops so sweet.
