Waiting for You

Standing still in the mist of time
I wait for you to return.
Nights pass when I think of you
Only to never see you again.
Silent memories of dreams long forgotten...
When will they be real?

I look through the mist of time
The fog lifting for no one.
I hold my hand out waiting for your touch
Only to never feel you again.
Silent memories of dreams long lost...
When will they be found?

I walk through the mist of time
Uncertain of each step.
But if it will get me closer to you
Then I will bravely try.
Silent memories of hopes faded...
When will they return?

I sit there, crying...the mist is now all gone.
Maybe you were never there-
Was this a dream all along?
Suddenly a touch and I look up
And see your smiling face.
You wipe my tears and all my fears...
I finally found you.
