As we walk through life we have to look around us
All we see around us is darkness and pain
People are being murdered right in their homes
Is anyplace safe anymore or does the darkness rule
When I look around I see the darkness and pain
I sit here and wonder if a world so cold could be happy
For how could a world so dark and full of pain
Ever be happy enough to live free in
It doesn't seem possible that this world
Could ever be light again after so much darkness
How are we supposed to live our lives
When we carry so much pain and grief
How can we just brush it off like it is nothing
There is just so much emptiness in this world
Is there room left for the good things in life
That is for every person to decide for themselves
Is life worth going through the darkness
To reach the light that is at the end of it.
