She closes the door,
a simple shutting out.
We have become the sin-element.
Angels from a landfill,

our coffee wings
dust her view with bold grounds.
Wake up, Barb.
See what's brewing.

The door is Jesus, the bible,
a shielding cross. She falls against its strength,
a virgin of wedding night angst.
And we are mother and father

memories,
caught beneath rowdy sheets
of partial light.

Gushing unashamedly ~

I'm not here to gush, I just can't help it! Great piece. If you ever publish I'll be first in line.

Elegance

I loved the elegance of this piece, while not vulgar it managed to convey the essence of the moment. Well done
