I had a flower once
The seed blown in by the wind
I don't recall watering
But it took root anyway

I watched it grow
And took great joy
Watered only rare
But it bloomed anyway, flourishing unaware

And now I see its fading
Longing for its colors bright
Knowing perhaps some water
Could prolong its too short life

The pot stands empty now
With shriveled stem remains
I water now with my tears
Pieces of my heart not the petals, blown away
