Holding hands with a young lady,
Who may one day be my niece
The waterfall crashing down on us at
200 pounds of pressure per square inch,
A figure which I just made up and which may in fact
Be laughably, embarrassingly far from the truth
Above us a rowdy group of city kids whooping and yelling,
Their joy also flowing over us,
Well worth the cost of the glasses
That were swept from my face
Without my realizing it.

Later we came across a man slicing large rocks
With a whirring blade
As if they were cord wood.

Slice-of-life

Definitely a vignette. You demonstrate a strong talent for such word portraits. - Now you may want to practice making these pictures serve a purpose besides just "being".

Intriguing

Like a vingette glimpsed in passing. Well done.

I love this style, rapid fire.

Have no idea what the last three lines have to do with the others, I don't care.

I love this line jumping out of nowhere:

A figure which I just made up and which may in fact

(needs "be")
