I sit here on this rock
And my senses are bombarded by beauty
The sun is peeking over the mountains
Winking at me
The wind nudges away the morning fog
I close my eyes to absorb it all

I feel the rock beneath me
Hard and comforting, steady and unwavering
I feel my clothes against my skin
Warming and protecting, sheilding and blanketing
I feel the breeze tickle my cheek
Playful and child-like, joyus and inviting

I open my eyes to see that morning has broken
I get up, and walk away
Knowing that I've been a part of something very intimate
Very special
And I am glad
And I am thankful
