We Danced toe to toe.

We stared sultrily from under brows

Directly into our souls.

I felt my heartbeat throughout my body.

Or was it Yours? Ours?

With the softest pressure that moves mountains

Your lips were drawn to mine,

Our heads snapped up.

We never broke our gaze.

We held each other even tighter.

Moving with such urgency

As if this was the Only dance.

Vaguely conscious of our bodies

Though blissfully aware

I saw nothing at all, save

Your eyes and our soul

While the rest of the Universe

Spins out of control.
