It's Wednesday morning
I'm here
in my hat and coat
heading out the door,
my oh-so-smart phone rings
it's you
     'hey'
          'hey to you too...'
     'in town, you around?'
           'for awhile, where you stayin'?'
'same place, come on over ... ok?',

Stick the phone in my pocket
head out the door
north a dozen blocks
towards downtown
and that downtown hotel
with the famous name
where you stay between flights,

I ride the elevator alone
up to your floor
walked the hall to the end
remembering the last time
and the times before that,

I feel that tingling sense of expectation
of knowing what is going to happen
how it will transpire
how I will feel afterward,
almost to the minute
how long we will be together,

Your hotel door is slightly ajar
I tap lightly and walk in,
curtains are drawn
room dark,
jazz is playing,
a saxophone and piano
licking each other's lips
running their jazzy hands
over each other's body,

'hey, what took you so long?'
I hear your voice from the bed
nothing but a sheet covering,
I don't respond
grab the corner of the sheet
and pull if away,

You're naked,
of course,
I get naked too,

We make love
quickly
take a shower
then make love again
more slowly,

I get dressed
you don't,
you stand naked at the door
kiss me hard on the lips as I go
run your hands across my chest
and down below,
pausing there
as your kiss me again
sucking my tongue into your mouth,

I retrace my route
down the elevator
across the famous name hotel lobby,
I walk back south
Wednesday morning
in my hat and coat,
the sax and piano jazz
sex and sin of you
make me smile,
the kind of smile one has
when they just did
what I just did
with you,

Bit too prosy, we don't need to know about you getting dressed/undressed. Could be good if tightened up

Better than coffee...

Great way to start any morning, jazz is simply an added bonus!
