Weeping Angel
I met a Weeping Angel;
I could'nt avert my eyes.
I fell in love with her,
and proclaimed it to the skies.
I would've spent my life with her,
nestled twixt her thighs.
I would've made sweet love to her,
and filled the heavens with her sighs.
But a man can't be perfect,
no matter how hard he tries.
In jealousy, I doubted her,
and believed the devil's lies.
Rashly, I spoke, and wounded her,
and now, me, she doth despise.
Forever my dream's now gone from me,
it should come as no surprise.
I tried to hold her to me,
but, there were no longer any ties.
Now, I'm on my knees, begging heaven,
for a chance to apologize.
I want to beg her for forgiveness,
and look into her eyes.
Hoping against hope,
that true love never dies.
I hurt my weeping angel,
so now I'm the one who cries.
Is there any hope for love,
from ashes to arise?
