I dread the night with it’s sleep
for all my dreams have died,
as I lay my head upon the pillow I cannot help but weep

I trusted the sweet nothings
I did not know you lied
I trusted the sweet nothings
and all my dreams have died

Happily ever after - it filled my sleeping head
that was once upon a time though- now that dream is dead.

I do not plea for pity - It’s the sorrow I cannot take

You told me you’d always love me
now how my heart does break
You told me you’d always love me
and be there when I’d wake.

I lay my head upon the pillow and cry myself to sleep
Empty will the day be… as empty is this night
as empty is the next day - the only difference light.
