some cats don’t like their tummies scratched
others do
some only let one do the scratching
others don’t

most men are taller than I
most women not
I am perpendicular in this predicament
pulling up my shirt, hoping

don’t dare tickle,
dig or pretend to find tabs
pretend pull my tummy open
find a piñata prize, oh boy

now let’s snuggle
kiss my eyes

I can see...

I can see your legs jumping to the beat.
