So Arrogant in Our Strength, Our Bond
We did not think, we did not feed
That light that burned within us

It needed so little to survive
A kind word, a gentle touch
Such simple things it asked
to keep the doubts at bay

But hearts in turmoil are easy prey
When thoughtless we forget
and fail to do the simple things
that show love and respect

To show our love, our hearts
With simple smiles and loving words
We could have kept the flame well fed
and never felt the burn, the pain
Of love lost in the darkest night.

Love lost.

A sweet gentle reply turns away the pain and hurt. Simple smiles and loving words ~ the eternal answer.

The flame...

grows dimmer and dimmer - without being fed

Welcome to Lit

With your vision of a soul in turmoil

As the inner spirit crumbles in dark despair of love lost.
