never finding
walking a line
paths everwinding
hoping, hunting
with eyes opened wide
things seen in disbelief
all taken in stride
wondering, wandering
lost in familiarity
all seeming hazy
seen in great clarity
recovering, redeeming
a spirit left unclean
a phantom of myself
and what I could have been
