What is it that I can give you?
Would something I conjure up
With my mouth be enough?
My stuttered words, sweaty palms
Would these be enough?

A lock of hair, though blond it's not,
Nor is it volumised or shiny:
Would cutting it and locking it
Add up to meet your standards?

What if I gave you a piece of mind,
It's mine, I know, it isn't much, but still
It's mine and looks like
Me and mine are all I can give you,
So, please, be kind -
At least give me a minute.
