I want you to know,
What it really feels like,
To burn like you made me burn,

I hope you understand,
(What it is to burn)

I couldn’t cope with,
The flames, my own fire,
That you ignited,
The flames burnt higher,
They fed on all my fears,

I felt so vulnerable,
Slowly I gathered the ashes,
That were once my life,

I hope you understand,
(What it is to burn)

You’ve made me burn,
Once too often,
Now my scars represent,
What we once had,

The destruction you,
Caused will get better,
I know its not always,
Going to be like this,

I hope you understand,
(What it is to burn)
