We share it.
We dare it.
We try to compare it.
But none of it's kind
Will ever come near it.

It's both kind and silly.
My God how she fills me.
She sends out a spark
And oh how it thrills me.

One single day Passes,
Moves on like the next.
And yet there's a difference.
This new one is best.

Where day meets the night,
She aims her light.
Where evening is dawn,
She carries me on.

It is not as an easy
Wee ribbon I tie.
But a great and formidable
Love song I cry.

I crave her.
I save her.
Maybe one day--
I'll shave her.

But she is mine.
And, I am hers.
I fear that she is more
Than my words.
