I have a pixie on your shoulder
weaving your hems with my sunlit hair
so never fear
never fear the war my boy.

I have a pixie on your shoulder
weaving your hems with my shorn hair
and hoarding a biscuit for your red blood,
so never fear.
She will guide your foot,
for Heaven's stocked with martyrs
--and I aim this boy to keep--
school photo in a locket
between my patient breasts.
