This poem is dedicated to the loving memory of my grandfather, Robert L. Holford Sr. Born August 1917, died Christmas Eve, 1995, age 78 yrs
WHAT WOULD I GIVE...
What would I give to clasp your hand,
Your happy face to see.
To hear your voice and see your smile
That meant so much to me.
You did not go alone -
A part of me went with you.
If tears could build a stairway
And heartaches could make a road,
I would walk the path to Heaven
And bring you home to me.
If love could have saved you,
You never would have gone.
