I'd trade it all away,
My mundane life.
If only I knew
What the future held.
But I am scared,
Terrified it will all
Melt away like a dream.
When I open my eyes.
Causing me to lose
The only things I cherish,
Above everything else.
You and your love.
So hold me close,
In your sweet embrace,
And promise me you will
Never let me go.
Be with me tonight,
And stay til the sun
Brings in the new day,
So I know it's not a dream.
When I open my eyes,
It is you I want to see
