When I'm Gone
One day you walked away from me
Left me dazed and confused
Never did anything to hurt you, Girl
But still somehow I lost you.
I never said a bad word to you
Never turned my back on our love
Still you chose to say goodbye
I don't understand why you just gave up
But I don't wonder why anymore
Somehow I've just moved on
And I have only one last thing to say
You're gonna miss me when I'm gone.
When the next guy breaks your heart
You'll look back on me someday
Then in the darkness you'll cry
You'll be sorry that you walked a way.
I'm not saying this to be mean
I'm only telling you the truth
Sometimes we don't know what we've lost
Until we learn what it means to lose.
And I can't say much else
Can't make this a clearer song
All I can tell you now
Is you're gonna miss me when I'm gone.
