How far must I go to lose the memory?
When will I be over you?
When you walked out my door, I wondered
How long will it be until I’m over you?
When the words were spoken that broke my heart,
I could only pray that I would get over you.
The night is long and the days are hard,
And I pray for release from this horrid pain.
Will I ever get over you?
The sun, moon and stars still rise,
But I am not over you.
My aching mind and body long for you still,
And I don’t think I will ever be over you.
You took my heart so freely given,
And shattered it to the fiber of my being.
You gave me bits and pieces of your own,
Just to keep me waiting.
I need to be over you.
I want to feel the sun upon my face,
I need to strength of life to enter me,
But I can’t get over you.
I’ve lost the will to hope and live,
You snatched the strings that held me intact,
When you gave up on my love.
I need to be over you,
Please let me be over you.

we all know.

we all know the feeling of loss and anguish of a brake up. i really thought that you used the repetitive phrase 'over you' , quite well with good impact.
