I look back to then
and I want to smile
....I'm almost there
and I will try
so maybe daddy,
one day you'll see
something better,
when you look at me.

I remember her, such a sweet little girl
everyone said "shes a daddy's girl".
Every time you looked at me,
those eyes would twinkle,
and you would grin.
You'd hold me so tight,
and promise to me,
a world full of dreams,
a world full of love.

But on that day
"he" took me to play
and none of you saw
that look on my face.
He whispered and touched me
and played with a ball,
and no one saw
as I fell from grace
behind a wall.

Those things "he" did
when I was so young,
finished me off
before I'd begun.
I needed you and thought you were there
but I stood alone, I came undone,
I died inside, the damage was done.
"He" took me from you
and you never knew,
you never saw
the little girl
he pressed to the wall.

you never heard my screams
you never saw the blood
you never heard the tears
you never saw the flood.
Where were you daddy?
Where did you go?
I needed you daddy,
I needed your world,
the world of a hero
the world of no blood.
why weren't you there, daddy?
why didn't you see,
that nothing was there
when you looked at me?

In thirty years
you still dont see
the angel that died
inside of me.
