Whenever the chickadee calls chickadee-dee-dee

That is when I think of you, and feel the loss

Again as I allow myself to understand the cross

I bear from loving a woman who can't share

My life, and bear my burdens and form a pair

As the eternal intended in forming our we

The two of us together to share and to be

As two together, pressing on to eternally care,

Together forever, without the total random

Nature of the world, formed ere time in love

We could build our lives with our lives above

But the world is not formed for us in tandem

As we learn in the yearning to be a loving pair

The eternal is not so forgiving of us as one

And we are accepting of what may become

As we live on apart and cannot ever share

Find joy in what we have, and what we've done

Together but separate lives, in snyc and living

Two disparate lives, two soul mates, still giving

Loving in joy, with happiness and as one

Forever and ever, you live a part in my heart.

And ever, together we share, but apart.

You know what you are, to be my main goal

And always you are the best in my soul.

So know that you are and remain all I care for,

You are and will always be what I adore.
