A dark rewrite or Whitney Houston's Where Do Broken Hearts Go

I know we're running out of time
And you want to make this quick
You want to get this over with
As soon as possible
But there's something on my mind
You see, nothing's been the same since that stick turned blue
On that cold November day
You said you needed space
Now all you wanna do with me is tuck me away into a corner of an empty place
And there are so many things I need to know desperately
Before you let me forever go

So here I am
And mama can you please tell me....oh

Chorus

Where do aborted babies go?
When no one wants to give them a home
When there are no open arms to hold
Hold onto their tiny dreams
And if somebody wants to abort you
Will they ever change their minds about aborting you?
I look in your eyes
In the mirror
So very frail and haunted
Yet also so very determined
And I know that you don't care, about me

I have't been around long
But I know for sure
That my dreams you are never going to let be born
Just like me
And there is no easy way to ask you to over turn
This hard choice that you have made
And no matter how hard we try
From this choice you've made
Neither of us can run away now....

And I know there's no way that I can ever make you believe
Before it's too late to take it back
With me
You could have so much more
In your life
So much more then you've ever had before
And no matter how hard I cry or try
From so deep
Growing inside of you tonight
I know
Oh mama I know
That tonight I won't be able to change your mind

Where do aborted babies go?
When no one wants to give them a home
When there are no open arms to hold
Hold onto their tiny dreams
And if somebody wants to abort you
Will they ever change their minds about aborting you?
I look in your eyes
In the mirror
So very frail and haunted
Yet also so very determined
And I know that you don't care, about me

And now we're here at the clinic
And there's no turning back from the life altering choices
That you've made
For both of us
I look deep into the eyes
Deep into the eyes of the mother who is letting me go
Who is letting me die tonight
And now I guess I know, now I guess I know.....

Where do aborted babies go?
When no one wants to give them a home
When there are no open arms to hold
Hold onto their tiny dreams
And if somebody wants to abort you
Will they ever change their minds about aborting you?
I look in your eyes
In the mirror
So very frail and haunted
Yet also so very determined
And I know that you don't care, about me
