Where Nobody Knows Me (Anymore)

byPVodogaz©

I caste out the past with one action,
I move to change things and vanish,
I go out in silence with barely a whimper,
I enter silently into the encroaching darkness
To a new beginning.

The encroaching darkness surrounds me,
And like a velvet glove caresses me with its warmth
I move into the darkness until I am darkness itself.
I turn my head and look back and say my final goodbyes
I move forward to a new beginning

I emerge from the darkness that separates the past
Emerging to a new beginning
Where nobody knows me anymore,
Where I can wipe clean the transgressions of the past,
Where my actions and words create a new me
To a new beginning
