Soft calm drops on the roof
Cold wind blowing through the window
Sounds of laughter coming from the TV
Cars whipping past on the wet asphalt
The total darkness of my room
And the smell of rain in the air

Versus

Your soft skin against my touch
The warmth of your body
Sounds of your laughter
Watching you while you sleep
The light in your eyes when you smile
And the sweet smell of your hair

I lay in my bed thinking of which I’d rather have
Loneliness or you…
Which I’d rather have?
I’d rather have you!
