Can you kiss
this crimson shade on my lips
into something lighter
then heavenly whispers
weighted by waiting
and what will become
of silver linings
clouded by gray
deep dusty secrets
knowing the inevitable
footsteps come softly
disguising harsh words
left to shiver
bare on wood floors
open mouth wonderment
slips through these cracks
till receptive to touch
bleakness wisps away

dissolve.

Your love whisks away the bleakness.

Sounds like a promise of hope amidst the bleak.
