feathers of your fingertips
still trace my inner thigh
shadows from your lips
pressed so softly next to mine
the scent of you is heavier
than memory ought to be
you wakened all my senses
and gave me poetry

a murmur of contentment
escapes at thoughts of you
fantasies or memories
I can’t tell which is true
as fleeting as our moment was
it was sublime and it was real
leaving heavy traces
of your heart that I still feel
