Whispers of a past forgotten
Streaming through the air
Winding turning fears
Like a not to long forgotten promise
Niggling, nipping at my heels

I a child of the whispers
Of past discarded dreams
A waking of the sleeping restless
Eyes wide, eyes soft, eyes fair
A drop of peace in a sea of conflict
I am that lasting pain

Whispers challenge secrets
Of a barely recalled old
Rasping voices louder
Freezing calm cold
Whisperers are those who cry
When the earth bleeds from old scars
I am one in many and yet one in few

Whispered softly at last heard
Trembling pink tipped lips
New stems from servered limbs
Ensnaring watery faith
Cascading images; twisted canvas
Beautiful picture still distorted
I am that and yet I am nothing
Whispers fade away
Pain rimmed eyes

Whisper
Whisper to me
Silence reaching
Past forgotten
Whisper...whisper to me once again
Touch my heart at last..
