Whispers of a Broken Heart

Trying to face it all,
The harsh life of reality,
Oh, how cruel,
How despicable...

I was lost,
In my own broken little soul,
Why am I to be blamed?
Is it because of my insignificance?
Whispers of a broken heart,
Dying to be with you...

We are two souls,
So different from the rest,
Of two different worlds,
Of two clashed realities...

Diamond and rubies,
Gold and silver,
Money to the tip of the mountain,
What's the use without happiness?

Without you by my side,
Without you to hold me by,
Poor lost broken soul,
And yet I knew,
Life is but a wheel of fate...

My heart prays to the sky above,
To the powers that held high,
Sacred and one...

Whispers of a broken heart,
Can you hear my cries?
The pounding of a dying heart,
Slow and restless,
Can you hear my yearning?
Oh how I dream to hold you in my arms...

And yet,
We are but of two lost souls,
Far stretched, never to complete,
But fate plays upon us,
We met and fell in love,
I surrendered...

my reply...

I don't know how to put more personal in it, maybe I do need more practice in poetry, either that, or I'm a lousy poem writer lol... Oh well, I suppose I should tell you in advance that I've posted two more already, so I can't do anything on the nonsense thing that you mentioned earlier...but thanks anyway for VOTING and COMMENTING... :)

I don't think there are many, if any, poetic elements to your poem. It's entirely uninteresting, and I don't think there's anything that represents who you are within the text. Try to put something personal into your poems and practice. We usually like to see some sort of effort has been made in the poetry section, just like in the prose section.
