I ask myself, who am I?

I believe I am me but in what dimension?
Now, past or before? I continue to explore
I know I prefer honesty, not deception
Damn you false prophets, go, go I implore
Mask people take off your mask and be gone!

I believe in natural creativity, a given talent
Something we all have, even if untapped yet
I respect kind words or true words well meant
Understand, touch your inner child, like a pet
Stroke and embrace, an accepted part of you!

I believe in love, true love, meaningful and true
Lucky we are when we find it , sad when lost
I love nature, wild life, sky, earth and humans too
We must respect, preserve it all, no matter the cost
Do your bit, you and I, so future generations can enjoy!

I believe in racial equality, we all need to unite, as one
Our blood flows red, the same, we all share humanity
I am a loving mother, 2 boys, oh so much fun
Sharing, caring, teaching them so much you see
Everyday I look at them and know I’m ok!

I believe in people, even when they let me down
I’m an optimist, my glass is half full, not near empty
I give thanks for my family, turn the frown upside down
I am me, unique, barefoot in a puddle, ever so humbly
My toes squishing the mud between my toes, It’s different!

I believe in the gold at the end of the pretty rainbow
Fairies, Santa, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy all alive
Childlike feelings, inner being grow, so much to show
Love, innocence, believing, common sense help me survive
Who am I? ME! Simply but complex, Debbiexxx, I am me
