“Why Did God?”
Why did God –
Whose pneuma fills
My lungs with life;
Whose righteous wrath
O’er guile for selfish gain
Courses through my mortal veins;
Whose delight spawned by
A child’s gentle hug
Writes a smile upon my face;
Whose tears spring forth
From my parched soul
For a mother’s silent trudge
Through the valley of
The shadow of death;
Why did God
Form flesh from clay
In yet so warped an image? –
Whose heart desires
Forbidden fruit
Of secret ecstasy;
Whose eye returns
For second glances
Of swaying hips and clinging cleavage;
Whose mind conceives perpetually
Menage a trios and girl on girl,
My beloved spread wide
For strange men’s seed,
At my behest and her accord.
Why did God –
Forbid?
