You think I'm hot
You say so.
I think you're hot
I say so.
But then instead of looking at me;
Instead of talking to me--
You talk about yourself.
What you've done.
Where you've been.
What you are going to do.
I sit and listen.
At first I try to talk too.
About me.
But you don't hear.
You're into you.
So then I make attentive noises.
You don't hear.
You're into you.
So then I say nothing.
You don't hear.
You're into you.
You look so surprised when I get up
And say I've got to go.
You hear that.
Give me your number you plead,
Awakened from your dream of you.
I keep walking.
