Well there we stood, you and I
On a windswept dark foreboding beach
We stood facing each other saying nothing
Our words were stuck in our throats
Our eyes locked on each others.
A single tear ran down my cheek as I knew this was good bye.
You take out a knife and wordlessly raise it up at my heart
I just stand there and let you stab me in my heart.
No words exchanged, the howl of the wind across our faces.
I cough and blood comes forth from my mouth.
The knife is firmly wedged in my heart and all you do is watch me
A smile plays out on your lips
I feel the warm blood traverse down my lips and across my chin
Tears stream down my face as my vision begins to darken
I start to move into the water, the waves lapping around me
I feel the coldness of the water and the blade in my heart.
You wave at me now laughing.
As I walk backwards deeper into the waters
Each wave draws me deeper, welcoming me to my doom
I see another man appear at your side, he kisses you
And I try to scream out but only blood streams out
Deeper I go into the water until
All my body but my head is above water.
Still the blade clings to my heart and I feel each beat weaken
You start to walk away with your new man
And my vision is darkness as you walk away of tears and my demise
Wave upon wave suffocating me to my eventual death
And this is when love dies a flailing death.
I give up, allowing myself to fall
And we will fall back into the Ocean
Deep under the water my final breath brings the coldness
And my eyes lose focus and I drift with the currents
Barely lifeless
Sinking to the very bottom of the Ocean
Will you remember me?
Will you know that this heart beats no more for love?
The blade rusts over time in the water and it slowly corrodes
But still wedged deep into a now cold lifeless heart.
And we will all one day fall back into the Ocean.
