Window to the soul

I gaze into those golden eyes
So deep within your soul
And see the sweet and tender love
Within that heart of gold.

To share a part, be it so small
Of that sweet love so true.
Seems like a dream, but through it all
I'm filled with love for you.

You're heart is large, so full of love
For everyone you see.
But I know I can have a place
That belongs to only me.

I know I have to share your love
It's far too much for one.
But the part you give to me alone
Can turn the clouds to sun.

We love, we laugh, good times we share
Like friends so often do.
But the emptiness you fill within my heart
Is reserved for only you.

You give to me a reason, a goal
To pursue throughout my day.
If I give back my love, my life
Tis not enough to pay.

So in that corner of your heart
So warm, so sweet, so free.
Where thoughts of me sometimes resides
Is where I'll always be.

If life deals you a bitter blow
Or loneliness intrudes
Just come to where I am with you,
My love will see you through.
