The breeze floats softly by,
whispering on my skin.
My mind is blessedly free,
My heart reverantly still.

My thoughts are my own now,
no more do you haunt them.
My soul has let go,
my heart has moved on.
The journey I face with a fierce sense of pride,
Born of endurance but largely of courage.
I know who I am now!
I know where I am going!

My wings they unfurl, my feet they are braced.
The dreams that I carry tucked deep inside
no longer just dreams but the destiny promised.

Never again a captive of chance,
I'll pick up my skirt and welcome the dance
And on that same breeze that tickles my skin
My spirit within shall once again sing.
