WINTER ON THE MOUNTAIN

As I look upon,
The canyon below.
I feel the chilling wind,
Of winter blow.

A covey of quail,
Scatters from sight.
Thru distant trees,
With colors bright.

As I breathlessly gaze upon,
The rocky mountainsides.
I spot the secret caves,
The mountain hides.

As my eyes are filled,
With ridge tops blue.
I watched the Jay,
Past me he flew.

Yes, The frosted leaves,
Around me they fly.
For it is now winter,
On the mountain high…BWL
