Winter Wonderland

Frost's crystals,
Snow covered lawns.
Elongated spikes of ice,
Frigid,windy dawns.

Dunes of hidden cars,
Crisp starry nights.
Vigils of snowmen,
Fierce snowball fights.

Ice laden branches,
Salt covered walkways.
Wisps of wood smoke,
Snowplowed Highways.

Warm friendly porches
Covered with red bows.
Green wreaths and lights,
With a welcoming glow.

Ice crusted forts,
With children hiding.
Hills of packed snow,
Laden sleds gliding.
