winter's heart
a lonely one
summer
come
and
gone
brilliant leaves
of orange and red
few
now linger on

your memory
only shadows
lips
once warm
so sweet
now dust
and
frozen sunshine
two souls
now
half complete

skin like
molten honey
touch me
yes
I know
each perfect
imperfection
each
breath
the whitest snow

the sun
no warmth
no solace
your kiss
still
lingers on
our voice
our love
an echo
a
wordless
winter's
song
