In my Age of Conversion
Her lowered wisdom rose
another only unasked query

Silent taker of dictation
impressed beneath those lips
Wisdom’s wrung wetness echoing

the broad Bell of Conversion
ring of bone down-wrought
wry query’s dangled provocation

Heavy taker of given liberties
heavenly sign in deepest Earth
elemental shift & revolution Of

Thus provocation’s stressed converse
Her proposal veiled in percept’s trial
descendent uplift only Dawn’s could match

To yield is the ancient First Wisdom,
converse of resistance herein asserted:
You have my plea in distanced thrall.
