sitting and having intellectual conversations about love
and all i really want to tell you is i love you

but i'm not so sure if you feel the same way
so when you puff puff pass

i drag deep and slow
getting higher to God so i can ask Him Directly

to grant me with the serenity to accept the things I cant change
and the courage to begin the process of you changing my last name

you laugh
remembering your last relationship
and how she said she never really loved you

i figure she couldn't have because
how could someone fall out of love with you

i ask as i ash and pass what's left to you
but all i really want to do is right what's left of you

we could get married i say
and rather than question the statement
the haze makes you hazy and you say True

Passing me purple flowers wrapped in ribbon smelling of white grape
as if sealing the deal that i'd be next

the Bud Lightens my head
