I lay awake and wish
Closing my eyes again
I'm wishing myself asleep
Deep into the dreams
That have become my multiple
Desires and so only attainable
Thru the magic of the mist
And the sand that licks my lids.

Here I wish to share
The times when I'm happy
The times when I laugh
And I wish so much to
Be able to share a happiness
That is so singularly mine
In this dream, this life,
This is only a shadow
Shared with my kaleidoscope
Of clouds, wisps and willows
That come close to perfection.

I wake every once
Every while
And the god of dreams
Morpheous pulls me
Back into that safe
Beautiful bountiful belief
That someday my wish
Will be the one with which I can
share.
