I wanted to find beauty in your harsh, dark lines.

I saw nothing that interested me and with the effort I lost time.

I wanted to find beauty in your hard, solid frame.

I saw nothing that evoked emotion and I lost everything I had ever dreamt.

Disillusioned, I found something small.

I found an ounce of beauty in her soft, gentle sway.

I saw something that interested me and with the love I felt I grew young.

I clung to that shred of beauty in her childlike, innocent ways.

I saw something that evoked emotion and I lost myself to that boundless energy of love.
