Hot breezes billow the curtains
  and flow through the room.
The moonlight streams in
creating pictures with shadow and light.
I prowl around the room
looking for an oasis of coolness.
A strange gnawing restlessness and
a burning hunger have overtaken me.
The wolves are howling
and I feel my body respond in kind.
The heat adds to my yearning,
My need to feel your touch.
I stop in front of a window.
The breeze wraps around my body
  caressing my secrets.
Languidly I touch my face
  the tips of my fingers
  softly brushing my skin.
Remembering being with you.
How your lightest touch
  can take my breath away.
The hot breeze is still flowing through me.
I hold myself close,
The heat pulsing,
Arousing me.
I run my hands down my body.
Pausing where you pause
Lingering in the silent recesses
Calling forth the sensations you create.
Wind now whips the curtains
  with its intensity.
But I am past caring.
I take the wind.
The heat.
And bend my body to them.
A blinding pounding beat builds within me.
I become the wind and the heat.
I howl with the wolves
  as I find my release.
Gradually I return to myself.
The restlessness has ceased.
The yearning and hunger are at bay.
At least for now.

A Taste of Things to Come

I thoughly enjoyed "Without" and it is my pleasure to be the first to comment on this work. Its subtlety is to be savored. I look forward to more works down the road.
