It was dark
The night was late
Rushing through to the open gate
Into the storm's eye where the witches wait

Clouds were passing by
Creating midnight haze
As birds slid along
The moon's pale glaze

There ahead
In the glistening lake
My body stilled
And my soul quaked

Someone save me from this wonderland
All the world's power in your hands
Be it fate or a cruel plan
Come and save me from this wonderland

Bested by dragons
And by knights
Battling in fields
Until the stroke of light

Witch's brew
And potions strong
The dying sing
Such lonely songs

And there I stood
In their wake
Holding my gaze
Against the cold's embrace

With heart and hand
And heavy breath
Trapped in time
In the grip of death

A happy troupe
A merry band
Won't you save me...
From this wonderland?

Crossing mountains
Crossing over sands
Orcs, goblins, demons—
Be the hero you can

And come and save me from this wonderland.
