When they rode their drama llamas into the park that day
Passion and intensity consumed their untitled play
Bursting into fragments would they ever find their way
Back to the start
When the lines all seeped into her mind and found their way inside
Past the walls and fences they slip and then they hide
To grow into the glowing rush that breaks her open wide
Tearing her apart
Trembling in fright
Dreaming in the night
Surprised by the delight
Of words unspoken
Leaving her cage broken
Her lover’s only token
Image on a screen
Now she finds herself at 2 a.m. with words on the attack
And flowing out they burn the page turning white to black
Wondering if she will ever find him looking back
Into her heart
But she has learned throughout the years life isn’t as it seems
When dealing with unknown entities in fairytales and dreams
Will he forgive the case that cracked emitting torrid screams
And fears untamed
She waits in shadows hoping, wanting, surfing for the crest
Trying to recapture memories and feelings that are best
Left to wither quietly struggling, dying in her chest
And feeling shamed
Now silence greets her quest
Giving her no rest
Answer not to her behest
There is no reply
Left to wonder why
I guess that means goodbye
Unresponsive mean
Time to repair the jagged crack and close the gaping shell
Close down communication, stand beside the wishing well
Erase the dreams and fantasies and throw desires straight to hell
End of scene.

Magnificent!

What an emotional roller coaster ride this poem is! I felt pain and fury, longing and regret. Passion and intensity screams from every line (especially from line two).

This is the type of poem that seeps into one's subconscious and takes root. I'll be thinking about this heartfelt introspection for days to come. Poetry that sings with such operatic passion inspires me to lift up my own pen and dare to bare my creative soul. But glancing back to the mastery I see before me, toiling beneath the glare of such brilliance, I know the best I could do by comparison would merely be words on a screen.

That's a 5-star "Bravo!," KaeDoll. Please write more.
